Description
Our client, a law firm, is currently looking for an Accounting Technician to join their team. If you would like to be part of a fast-growing firm, this position is for you!
Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Permanent position.
Advantages

- Manage trust accounting, including deposits, transfers, disbursements, and reconciliations ;
- Ensure compliance and maintain accurate trust records in accordance with Law Society regulations ;
- Participate in billing, accounts receivable tracking, and collections ;
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing processes ;
- Record journal entries, reconciliations, and necessary adjustments ;
- Collaborate with lawyers, assistants, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and support operations ;
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, and optimization of accounting systems ;
- Provide administrative and accounting support as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
Requested skills
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in accounting within a professional services environment (asset) ;
- DEC in Accounting or a related field ;
- Knowledge of trust account management (asset) ;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) ;
- Bilingualism required to communicate with English-speaking suppliers (20%)
- Strong ability to interact with clients and team members ;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team ;
- Strong organizational and time management skills ;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
