What does your role involve?
- Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries
- Ensure the contractual process in accordance with hotel standards
- Book conference rooms, banquets, weddings, conventions and room blocks as needed
- Conduct site tours and attend trade shows when necessary
- Meet with clients to finalize contracts and agreements according to the conditions of the food and beverage sales department
- Ensure the accuracy of all event details and communicate them to hotel resources as well as external suppliers
- Manage emails and BOs
- Communicate changes daily to the relevant departments
- Finalize and coordinate the details of events, conventions, corporate and government meetings
- Ensure that all clients hosting an event at the hotel receive the best possible service
- Perform any other related duties as required
Required qualifications
- Training in sales or equivalent and more than 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Enthusiastic person focused on career development
- In-depth knowledge of sales techniques and an innate sense of public relations and customer service
- Ability to achieve results and objectives, based on strong leadership, organizational skills and an aptitude for fostering teamwork
- Good time management and ability to handle stress
- Flexibility in work schedules, variable hours
- Knowledge of the “DELPHI” system an asset
- In-depth knowledge of banquet operations (trade shows, menus, organization, planning, etc.)
