As an HR Business Partner, your primary mandate will be to act as a strategic link between the Human Resources function and the business unit. As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to achieving business objectives by addressing people-related challenges and ensuring the application of HR policies, best practices, and legal requirements while taking organizational and operational realities into account. Your role also involves supporting managers throughout the employee lifecycle at Excelpro. In a multi-site environment, you will play a key role in prevention, influence, and the deployment of HR initiatives while considering local realities. More specifically, you will:

  • Support and influence managers in strategic decision-making by integrating the human dimension into business decisions;
  • Provide HR expertise and recommendations tailored to the operational realities of the business unit while respecting the corporate HR governance framework;
  • Participate in workforce planning aligned with the business unit’s growth objectives;
  • Support performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives;
  • Contribute to achieving business unit objectives and enhancing operational and organizational performance;
  • Support change management initiatives in a growing environment;
  • Actively participate in leadership team discussions as a strategic business partner;
  • Ensure a clear understanding and consistent application of HR policies, programs, and best practices within the business unit;
  • Communicate and deploy corporate HR strategies and initiatives within the business unit;
  • Serve as the liaison between business unit needs and the Centers of Expertise in Learning & Development, Compensation, Equity, and Talent Acquisition;
  • Analyze HR metrics and recommend improvement practices adapted to the business unit’s context;
  • Advise and support managers in handling complex employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters;
  • Contribute to maintaining a healthy and positive work environment;
  • Act as a partner in managing union relations, where applicable;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers;
  • Participate in team optimization, transformation, and productivity improvement initiatives;
  • Collaborate closely with other HR specialists and Centers of Expertise;
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Management Certificate, or any other relevant education;
  • Minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience supporting HR in a multi-site organization (asset);
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, HR practices, and trends in Quebec and Ontario;
  • Bilingualism (French and English);
  • Knowledge of Folks and Prextra software (asset);
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing abilities;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with rigor and attention to detail;
  • Initiative and creativity;
  • Strong customer service orientation;
  • Strategic mindset.
