Description
Prospect and identify new OEM customers
- Actively seek out target companies in the manufacturing sector (OEM) that could benefit from our control panel manufacturing solutions;
- Conduct networking, monitoring, and research activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential customers, understand their needs, and offer them tailored solutions;
- Develop sales strategies and action plans to achieve set objectives (volume, margins, etc.);
- Manage the entire sales cycle (from initial contact to contract signing)
- Prepare and present compelling service offerings, quotes, and commercial proposals;
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure agreements that are advantageous and sustainable for both parties.
- Work closely with the production team, project managers, and engineering department to ensure the feasibility and profitability of proposed solutions;
- Regularly communicate the progress of opportunities and orders to the VP of Sales and Marketing, VP of Manufacturing, and VP of Procurement.
- Maintain a relationship of trust with signed customers to ensure their satisfaction and explore opportunities for future development;
- Manage specific after-sales issues or requests, drawing on the company's internal resources.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance (signed orders, margins, etc.) and provide regular reports to management;
- Monitor the competition and the market to adapt sales strategies and identify new trends or opportunities;
- Perform all other related tasks.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or any other relevant field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector;
- Experience in market development and new account prospecting (an asset);
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge of the basic principles of industrial automation and/or control panel manufacturing (an asset);
- Good understanding of production processes in the manufacturing industry;
- Knowledge of sales and negotiation techniques acumen;
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- Be able to travel to clients' locations (Quebec/Ontario, Canada, if necessary) as needed;
- Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec.
