Description
In the role of Estimator, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by analyzing and qualifying requests, estimating production costs, preparing service proposals, and managing proposal follow-ups. . More precisely, you will have to :
- Communicate with clients to gather information, understand their needs, and qualify requests;
- Estimate requests and prepare service proposals;
- Collaborate with the Procurement and Business Development departments to determine the best strategy for each project;
- Present proposals to clients and manage their needs, expectations, and timelines throughout the estimating process;
- Prioritize incoming requests, deliverables, and follow-ups;
- Regularly participate in sales/estimating meetings with the manager to define actions and strategies;
- Organize and attend project kick-off meetings for estimated and awarded projects with clients and project managers to ensure quality handover of files;
- Participate in project closing meetings to ensure profitability;
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or a college diploma in a technological field (automation, electronics, industrial, etc.);
- 3 to 5 years in industrial automation in design, project management, or sales roles;
- Experience in control panel manufacturing (an asset);
- Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec;
- Good knowledge of electrical drawings and various types of drawing standards;
- Ability to read and analyze specifications;
- Knowledge of Office, ERP, and CRM software (an asset);
- Knowledge of CSA/UL/ISO standards (an asset);
- Experience with drawing software (an asset);
- Display excellent customer-focused approach.
- Manage efficiently multiple files or projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate methodical and standardized work approach.
- Works collaboratively and effectively within a team environment;
- Convey commitment to delivering high-quality work.
