PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Inspection Supervisor, the incumbent supports all activities of the Quality Control department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform in-process or final inspections of products manufactured in the workshop (machining, sheet metal, cutting, deburring, identification, etc.) using the required and conventional instruments;

  • Complete the required documentation during inspections: operation sheets, non-conformance reports, minor defect reports, master file, etc.;

  • Perform receiving inspections (raw materials, purchased parts, and subcontracted items);

  • Perform first article inspections (F.A.I) before production launch (first-off inspection);

  • Provide technical and professional support to qualified production personnel (machinists, assemblers, deburrers) in the application or interpretation of quality standards and requirements;

  • Carry out "VIP" inspections (Vendor Inspection Program) when required by the client.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Requirements
  • Vocational Secondary School Diploma (DEP), College Diploma (DEC) in Aeronautical Construction, DEP in Machining, or any other relevant training combined with applicable experience.

Technical Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience;

  • Experience with dimensional equipment (CMM) is a strong asset;

  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings;

  • Proficiency in using all measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.;

  • Ability to write reports;

  • Ability to prioritize inspections required by production;

  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
