Versatile Loader (M/F)
YOUR MISSION OF EXCELLENCE
As a versatile loader, you will work under varying weather conditions to secure tanks on trailers within scheduled timeframes, while ensuring compliance with transport regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
Shipping Clerk
-
Verify the load according to the order specifications
-
Prepare platforms and load merchandise following safety rules and careful handling procedures
-
Ensure full trailer loads with the correct finished products identified on the order
-
Assist with proper securing and strapping of loads
-
Organize finished products (tanks) in the outdoor yard according to a set plan
-
Perform visual inspections of forklift condition (weekly inspection log)
-
Clean and maintain orderly storage areas
-
Handle raw materials upon receipt
-
Prepare tank orders for pickup
-
Package tanks in groups of 2, 3, or 4
-
Prepare tanks for loading according to a list
-
Replenish packing materials at stations (pallets, foam, etc.)
-
Store hazardous materials awaiting disposal (external pickup)
-
Complete training as a Shipping Clerk and cover absences as needed
Shipping Clerk Duties
-
Determine truck loading order based on TSX Transport and production priorities
-
Scan tanks required for each order and the designated trailers
-
Verify order accuracy before shipment
-
Complete trailer compliance paperwork for C-TPAT certification
-
Generate customs documents and send them to TSX
-
Have drivers complete load paperwork
-
Assist in loading and securing commercial tanks with the help of the handler
-
Deliver daily shipping paperwork to customer service
-
Communicate with the distribution center regarding product transit
-
Notify supervisor and TSX of any loading delays
-
Analyze next day’s orders to prepare a list of special packages for packing
Handler Duties
-
Prepare trailers and materials required for loading
-
Follow quality and safety procedures established by the employer
-
Ensure safe loading of merchandise
-
Secure groups of tanks on trailers
-
Rearrange unpackaged tanks on trailers to maximize space according to specifications
-
Prepare tank orders for pickup
-
Sort wooden pallets by condition and size
