Recruitment for the Montreal site, located at 4100 Molson Street, Montreal, Quebec, H1Y 3N1
Do you want to make a real difference every day and be part of a mission aimed at saving lives? We are a human-scale organization focused on people’s well-being, where inclusivity and flexibility are valued. Deeply rooted in ethical and safety standards, our value system is built on trust and sound governance. We are a socially responsible employer, mindful of our environment, committed to continuous improvement, and forward-looking. Our actions are concrete, our expertise is unique, and our scope of work extends across Quebec. We strive to make our cause a shared social commitment. Transplant Québec, mandated by the Minister of Health and Social Services, coordinates the organ donation process, ensures fair organ allocation, supports the improvement of clinical practices through collaboration and partner engagement, and promotes organ donation in society. In doing so, Transplant Québec actively contributes to ensuring that as many Quebecers as possible waiting for an organ can receive a transplant.
Reporting to the Head of Education and Hospital Development, the Organ Donation and Care Partnerships Nurse Advisor is responsible for organizing activities related to organ donation. To do so, this person collaborates with the entire Nursing Directorate and Institutional Support team, the medical specialist coordinator in organ and tissue donation and transplantation, and the organ donation committee of the assigned institution.
The Organ Donation and Care Partnerships Nurse Advisor acts as a resource person for stakeholders within a shared intervention model at all stages of the donation process. This person approaches and supports families throughout the organ donation process and ensures post-donation follow-up.
The Nurse Advisor plans and organizes professional activities to increase the number of referrals and family consent rates through early identification of potential donors, all while complying with best practices in the field of organ donation.
