Key Responsibilities:
As an Expert Technician, your role will go far beyond routine tasks:
- Solve the Unsovable: Lead diagnostics and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
- Hybrid Expertise: Act as a specialist in hybrid and electric systems, from advanced maintenance to complex diagnostics.
- Manage Critical Cases: Handle complex manufacturer recalls and technical cases escalated by the team.
- Be the A/C Specialist: Diagnose and repair advanced air conditioning systems (R134a and R1234yf).
- Ensure Quality: Conduct final inspections and road tests to validate complex repairs.
- Mentor and Collaborate: Be a resource for other technicians, share your knowledge, and collaborate closely with service advisors for flawless customer communication.
- Stay Ahead: Actively participate in ongoing training through Toyota University to maintain your expert status.
Profile:
- Significant Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive mechanics, with proven specialization in advanced diagnostics.
- Completed DEP in automotive mechanics.
- Proficiency in French or English.
- Strong adaptability and ability to work independently.
- Team player with a professional attitude.
- Certification for A/C systems (R134 and R1234).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with LIN and CAN communication networks.
- Understanding of ECU functions and communication.
- Proficient with multimeter usage (ground, voltage, OHM resistance, parasitic drain).
- Certification in hybrid/electric/plug-in systems (an asset).
Position Details:
- Status: Permanent, full-time
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekends as needed)
- Work Mode: On-site
