Responsibilities Business Development-
Contribute to the growth of the water treatment sector
-
Identify new opportunities in target markets (mining, industrial, forestry, municipal, agri-food, etc.)
-
Develop and maintain relationships with strategic clients
-
Contribute to the preparation of service proposals and commercial offers
-
Represent the company at events, conferences, and client meetings
-
Participate in the strategic positioning of water treatment services and solutions
-
Design and develop new water treatment processes (physico-chemical and biological)
-
Optimize and upgrade existing water treatment processes
-
Analyze issues and identify solutions
-
Perform water balance assessments for industrial sites (mining and others)
-
Support clients in improving industrial water management
-
Prepare pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for industrial water treatment systems across various sectors (agri-food, mining, forestry, light industry, etc.)
-
Draft technical reports and documentation required by government authorities
-
Update and monitor plans, specifications, and contractual documents
-
Perform quality control of technical reports
-
Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality standards
-
Prepare service proposals
-
Liaise with government authorities to ensure environmental compliance
-
Participate in dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team reviews and collaborate with a wide range of clients
-
Perform other related duties as required
-
Act as a technical reference within the industrial or mining water treatment team
-
Provide technical support for complex industrial or mining water treatment projects
-
Mentor and support junior professionals
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering related to water treatment or equivalent
-
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in water treatment (or 5 years in a similar role)
-
Bilingual (spoken and written French and English)
-
Ability to travel to industrial sites (remote or local)
-
Experience in industrial and/or mining water treatment
-
Experience with treatment unit simulation software (GPS-X, BioWin, Aspen HYSYS)
-
Experience in water quality modeling and water balance analysis (PHREEQC, GoldSim)
-
Strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
