Description
The Operations Team Member, reporting to the Operations Care Center Manager, is responsible for a variety of activities, including operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, and processing and packaging cremated remains. This position works closely with a dedicated team within a care center environment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform a variety of daily duties, including:
- Operating the retort
- Creating and packaging paw prints
- Engraving plaques and memorial items
- Conducting quality control checks
- Processing and packaging cremated remains
- Completing other responsibilities as assigned from time to time
- Maintain daily cremation goals while producing cremains with an emphasis on compassion and excellence.
- Monitor equipment to ensure processes are functioning properly; make adjustments as needed and submit maintenance requests.
- Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping duties, including:
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Clean and maintain equipment used in cremation procedures, including machines that grind bones into powder.
- Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others from exposure to hazardous materials and dust particles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a service industry.
- Valid driver's license may be required.

- Regular lifting and moving of 100+ lbs.

- Regular handling of deceased pets.
