POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the part-time (.29 FTE) term position of Music Teacher at Southwood School from January 5, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart.

REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
- Prior experience teaching K-3 music is an asset
- Strong planning and communication skills
- The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

SCHOOL INFORMATION:
Southwood School is located 5 kms south of the City of Winkler in the growing community of Schanzenfeld, MB. Southwood is a Kindergarten to Grade 3 School, with an estimated enrolment of approximately 180 students, a teaching faculty of 16 and support staff of 10.
