POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time (1.0 FTE) term position of a Human Ecology Teacher at Northlands Parkway Collegiate effective April 17, 2026 - June 30, 2026.
Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart. REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
- Prior experience teaching Human Ecology courses considered an asset.
- Experience with sewing, clothing design, marketing, interior design, landscape planning, architectural design or related fields considered an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check.

SCHOOL INFORMATION:
Northlands Parkway Collegiate is a grade 9-12 high school located in the City of Winkler. The school has a student population of about 690 students, and a staff of about 90. The school, built in 2013, features state of the art architecture, energy efficiencies and many spaces with natural light. It was built to LEED gold standard and received an award from Manitoba Hydro for energy efficiency. Operating under the auspices of a comprehensive High School Philosophy, Northlands Parkway Collegiate offers students a choice of 5 technical vocational programs (esthetics, hairstyling, electrical technology, pastry arts and culinary arts); a comprehensive list of elective courses, and many extra-curricular programs.
