We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Part Time – Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital located in Langley, B.C. This position is available until October 1st, 2024 or Return of Incumbent. 1. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to Respiratory Therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and support, initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilatory support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation and daily care of patients as prescribed and documents same. 
2. Provides family, patient and staff education, which may include participating in established education programs.
3. Performs outpatient procedures including bronchoscopies, pediatric exercise challenges, ABG's, care of chronic ventilated patients.
4. Requisitions supplies and minor equipment for departmental operations within approved budget; maintains area supply inventory.
5. Participates in quality improvement activities such as development, implementation and evaluation of written procedures and standards, development of assessment forms and patient materials, and the development of departmental goals and objectives.
6. Maintains documentation by ensuring reports, record and workload statistics are complete and accurate according to established departmental standards.
7. Monitors and performs required maintenance, cleaning, calibration, evaluation and quality control of respiratory and related equipment.
8. Provides input into the departmental operating and capital budgets; monitors and maintains departmental operations as required.
9. Participates in meetings and departmental committees and contributes to problem identification and resolution.
10. Participates in Respiratory Therapy student education as required.
11. Performs other related duties as required.

Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
