Position Highlights

 

As a Project Lead, PSRO (Project Support and Results Office), you will play a key role in providing project management support in wide range of activities ranging from the development and implementation of project management methodologies, project trackers, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance reports, workload management reports and processes, document controls & management, and supporting and training the various project teams on these tasks. 

 

Your diverse background in project management and, architecture, engineering or construction will prepare you to use your creative skills in the design and construction of a wide variety of health care infrastructure and facilities projects.

 

As Project Lead, PSRO, your work may include the following:

  1. Evaluates existing project management methodologies and tools for enhancements; establishes and maintains appropriate project management methodologies, standards, and best practices; provides oversight and governance for the project portfolio aligned with strategic objectives.
  2. Mentors and assists a team of project management professionals; collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
  3. Develops and implement project management policies, procedures, reports, and documentation; drives continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
  4. Conducts regular reviews and audits to monitor project performance and compliance; fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and learning within the department.
  5. Analyzes resource needs and works with relevant teams to address staffing requirements; assists optimizing resource allocation across projects for efficient and timely delivery.

Do you have these professional/technical capabilities?

  • Knowledge of capital project planning and implementation processes including design, construction and procurement within current standards, codes, bylaws and regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, M365 SharePoint).

To join our team, ideally, we will be looking for you to have:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' recent related experience managing and supporting facilities projects in a complex institutional environment
  • Diploma in Architecture and Building Technology, Engineering Technology, Commerce, or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

This Regular Full Time opportunity will be based at Central City Offices located in Surrey, BC.

The Project Lead is to oversee, optimize, and drive successful project outcomes by establishing effective project management practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and assisting teams to deliver projects efficiently and within scope, time, budget, and quality.

Responsibilities

  2. Mentors and assists a team of project management professionals; collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.

  6. Communicates effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed regarding various PSRO initiatives.
  7. Assists to manage various performance reports and track strategic and operational KPIs.
  8. Streamlines various document management/control processes.
  9. Leads change management initiatives and process improvements; research new project management processes and reporting methodologies to meet changing business needs; assesses and provides input in how industry-wide changes should be reflected in the planning process.
  10. Develops annual performance plans including setting measurable goals and objectives for the assigned area of responsibility, in collaboration with the PSRO Senior Leader.
  11. Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and committees to provide perspective for a project management perspective; participates in the decision-making process by providing information and expertise on subject matter.

Qualifications

Diploma in Architecture and Building Technology, Engineering Technology, Commerce, or a related field, together with five (5) to seven (7) years' recent related experience managing and supporting facilities projects in a complex institutional environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
