Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority (FHA) Midwifery Division within the Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is pleased to announce vacancies for provisional privileges for midwives at several sites across Fraser Health. The following sites have available vacancies this year:

  • Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre
  • Burnaby General Hospital
  • Chilliwack General Hospital
  • Langley Memorial Hospital
  • Peace Arch Hospital
  • Surrey Memorial Hospital
  • Ridge Meadows Hospital
  • Royal Columbian Hospital
Role Overview

Members of the FHA Midwifery Division are autonomous health care professionals who provide care primarily in community-based clinics. Successful candidates must maintain medical staff privileges in accordance with FHA Medical Staff Rules and Bylaws.

FHA medical staff are expected to:

  • Participate in Division committee work
  • Attend regional division and local department meetings

  • Adhere to mandatory vaccination policies

  • Qualifications: Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and Membership with the Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC)
  • Compensation: Fee for service

  • Closing date: April 25, 2025
  • Anticipated start: July 1, 2026.
