Job Summary

Fraser Health is recruiting 2 full-time Endocrinologists to provide inpatient and outpatient support at Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (JPOCSC).

 

Specifically, both Endocrinologist’s role will include the following expectations:

  • Contribute to the management of inpatient endocrinology including diabetes by providing clinical services at SMH.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safe clinical and professional practice.
  • Maintain strong collegial link with members of Department of Medicine and with Hospitalists, as well as clinical staff.
  • Provide leadership and support for existing initiatives for glycemic control and diabetes education.
  • Participate in appropriate department and staff meetings and committees.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship and teaching of medical students and residents.
  • Provide on-call coverage within the established Endocrinology on-call roster Endocrinologist with extra training or special interest in osteoporosis.

Endocrinologist with extra training or special interest in Osteoporosis:
There is one opening for an Endocrinologist to oversee the Surrey Memorial Hospital Fracture Liaison Service.

 

Endocrinologist with extra training or special interest in Diabetes in pregnancy:
There is one opening for an Endocrinologist to provide outpatient support at the JPOCSC, Diabetes and Pregnancy clinic.

 

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must:

  • Be eligible for FRCPC in Endocrinology & Metabolism.
  • Be eligible for licensure in British Columbia.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research or quality improvement.
