POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for Building Engineers at the intermediate level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sector. The mandate is to manage the site's facilities and critical utilities, including cleanrooms and HVAC systems and to plan improvement projects, support qualification and ensure compliance with GMP, Annex 1 and building codes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage facilities, cleanrooms and building mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the performance of HVAC, pressurization and area classification systems.
  • Oversee critical utilities: purified water, pure steam, compressed air and gases.
  • Plan and coordinate renovation, expansion and code-compliance projects.
  • Support facility qualification and environmental monitoring.
  • Manage contractors, budgets and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Annex 1, building codes and safety.




CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, building mechanics, electrical) or any other related discipline.
  • Five (05) to ten (10) years of industry experience.
  • Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Building Engineer.
  • Sector standards: GMP (Health Canada), FDA 21 CFR 210-211, ICH Q7 to Q10, GAMP 5, ISO 9001.
  • Tools and systems: MS Office suite, AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project.
  • Hold one of the following certifications: LEED AP, ASHRAE.
  • The following are considered assets: membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), PMP, Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP).
  • Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
  • Language: French and English
