I'm recruiting for my client located in Candiac, a Receiving and Shipping Supervisor.
Your role:
- Plan, organize, supervise and optimize shipping and receiving operations.
- Coordinate delivery schedules, pick-ups and carrier management.
- Supervise the team of material handlers and forklift operators (approximately 15 employees on three shifts).
- Ensure the accuracy of stock entries and withdrawals in the ERP or inventory management system.
- Verify delivery notes, invoices and shipping documents.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, customer service and quality departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Actively participate in resolving logistical problems (delays, delivery errors, merchandise returns, etc.).
- Apply health and safety rules in the workplace.
- Efficiently plan warehousing of finished products and raw materials.
- Verify inventory accuracy.
- Manage forklift fleet.
- Evaluate current carriers and seek new options.
- Suggest and implement improvements to logistics processes to optimize performance.
Skills :
- Mastery of order management systems (order entry, tracking, inventory management).
- Good command of office tools (Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of logistics and sales processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French
- Sense of customer service and ability to manage delicate situations.
- Rigor, organization and ability to work under pressure.
- Team spirit and ability to collaborate with different departments.
- Proven experience with a lift and possible training of internal employees.
