Reporting to the Vice-President of Engineering, you will manage the company’s procurement and logistics operations, including supplier research and development, purchasing general and specialized equipment, and overseeing the logistics of products and equipment across North America and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a network of suppliers in North America and abroad.
• Negotiate annual agreements for raw materials and consumables, including pricing and payment terms.
• Work closely with technical and production teams to source required components.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Organize and monitor logistics for equipment and supply purchases and sales, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs protocols.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Degree in operations or supply chain management (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a buyer in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers (valid driver’s license required).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
