We are looking for a Logistics Dispatcher, for our customer in the transportation industry located on the North Shore.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for :
Dispatch inbound and outbound Canada/USA full and less-than-full loads, from request to delivery.
-Dispatch and supervise dedicated customer orders;
-Negotiate competitive rates with partners (carriers) in Canada / USA;
-Respond to customer transport requests by phone or email;
-Enter quotations/customer orders;
-Maintain good relations within the company and contribute positively to the work climate;
-Respect company policies and procedures;
Requirements:
-Knowledge of transportation and logistics.
-Relevant experience in transportation management.
-Bilingualism (spoken and written).
-Good command of MS Office Suite
-Experience with integrated management software
Knowledge and skills :
-Knowledge of PC Miler.
-Knowledge of customs clearance.
-Good knowledge of Canada and USA geography.
-Knowledge of dimensional transportation an (asset).
