Reporting to the Production Director, the Inventory and Purchasing Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and performance of the supply chain.

As a true coordinator, he/she plans, organizes, and optimizes the supply of raw materials and consumables to reliably support production in a timely manner.

In addition to overseeing inventory management, he/she ensures data integrity within the system and implements practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce surplus.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure inventory accuracy and reliability of system data, while developing strategies to optimize stock rotation, minimize surplus, and manage returns.

Implement and coordinate cycle counts, analyze variances, and establish sustainable corrective measures. Oversee the annual physical inventory when required.

Research, negotiate, and monitor the purchasing of products and services required by the organization, while evaluating and building strong partnerships with suppliers.

Manage purchase orders covered by global agreements, ensuring production needs are anticipated and stockouts are avoided.

Act as the main point of contact with assigned suppliers (purchase orders, non-conformity follow-up, performance indicators) in collaboration with the quality team.

Supervise, motivate, and organize the work of the inventory team to meet objectives and maintain a safe, productive, and collaborative environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in the food industry (asset)
Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written (must be able to communicate with English-speaking suppliers)
Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite; SAP is an asset)
Well-organized, structured, detail-oriented, and rigorous
Dynamic, good communicator, and team-oriented
Autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility
