The Role
Reporting to the Purchasing team, you will support a Buyer in managing one or more product categories. You will contribute to assortment planning, purchase order follow-up, data analysis, and supplier coordination to ensure the smooth execution of purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Buyer in the day-to-day management of assigned product categories;
Analyze sales data, market trends, and key performance indicators to support business decisions;
Participate in product selection and new product development initiatives;
Create and maintain accurate product information in internal systems;
Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries;
Coordinate the receipt and tracking of product samples;
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support daily operations;
Participate in planning meetings and departmental projects.
Qualifications
College diploma (DEC, AEC) or Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field;
1 to 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, planning, or a coordination role;
Retail industry experience is considered an asset;
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
Strong interest in purchasing, merchandising, or supply chain management.
