Hi, I'm Simon, Recruitment Consultant at FED ManuTech,

We are a recruitment firm specializing in permanent and temporary placements within engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing.
Today, I’m partnering with a well-established Quebec-based food manufacturing company to recruit a Quality Control Technician to support the growth of its Quality team.

Mission

Are you starting your career in Quality Control, or do you already have some initial experience in a manufacturing environment? This opportunity could be the perfect fit for you!

Our client is looking for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn. You'll receive comprehensive training from day one and be supported by an experienced team throughout your onboarding. Reporting to the Quality & R&D Manager, you will help ensure product compliance by performing quality inspections on the production floor. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll help maintain manufacturing standards while progressively developing your skills through hands-on experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:
-Perform quality inspections throughout the production process.
-Verify product compliance with quality standards and specifications.
-Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
-Identify and document non-conformities and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.
-Complete quality records and inspection documentation.
-Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams.
-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

One quick reminder before clicking "Apply": the position is located in Franklin, Quebec (Montérégie). If Google Maps is telling you your daily commute would be two and a half hours each way, you might want to save that energy for another opportunity!

Your profile

Your Profile:
-DEC (College Diploma) or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Quality, --Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related discipline).
-Previous experience in Quality Control or a manufacturing environment is considered an asset but is not required.
-Previous work experience in Quebec is preferred.
-Interest in the food manufacturing industry and production processes.
-Good command of French; English is considered an asset.
-Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working on the production floor.
-Team player with strong observation skills and a willingness to learn.

Don't meet every single requirement? No problem. If you're motivated, eager to learn, and enjoy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, we'd still love to hear from you.

-Permanent full-time position.
-Salary between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on experience.
-Comprehensive onboarding and structured training program.
