Operations & Quality Manager - Manufacturing Site Introduction

Hello,

I’m Jérémy Dupeuble, Recruitment Consultant at FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering, manufacturing and technical leadership roles. I’m currently partnering with a global manufacturing organization operating in the agri-food, fermentation and biochemistry space to hire an Operations & Quality Manager for one of its production sites. This is a key leadership role for someone who wants to drive site performance and play an active part in its growth.

Mission

Your Role :

Reporting to the Operations leadership, you act as a central figure on site, overseeing quality, supply chain, production and continuous improvement. You work closely with technical teams, planning, logistics and support functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

You are responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and a strong quality management system, leading audits and overseeing customer requirements, non-conformities and risk management. At the same time, you supervise material flows, inventory and warehouse organization while partnering with planning to anticipate demand.

From an operational standpoint, you lead continuous improvement initiatives, align best practices across sites and support the achievement of performance, cost, quality and safety targets. You also champion EHS initiatives by fostering a proactive safety culture and maintaining risk and emergency frameworks.
As a people leader, you develop teams, support frontline managers and establish clear communication around priorities and KPIs. You also contribute to strategic projects and ensure site continuity when the Director of Operations is absent.

Your profile

Your Profile :

You hold a technical degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, engineering or a related field and bring at least ten years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally within agri-food, fermentation, biochemistry or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You have a proven track record leading sizeable teams and coordinating cross-functional operations. Your expertise includes quality systems, food safety standards, QMS frameworks (ISO, SQF or similar) and EHS practices.

You are comfortable working in continuous process or food manufacturing environments and bring a strong continuous improvement mindset focused on operational performance. Your leadership, analytical skills and hands-on approach allow you to prioritize effectively and mobilize teams. You also understand the financial drivers of a manufacturing site and are proficient with standard office tools.

Working Conditions :

• Strategic leadership role within an international manufacturing group
• Technically rich and multidisciplinary environment
• High level of autonomy and visibility with leadership
• Structured projects and growth opportunities
• Salary starting at $130,000 + target 15% annual bonus
• Competitive benefits package
