Hi, my name is Océane, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll roles.
I'm currently looking for a Tax Specialist for an accounting firm located in Ville Mont-Royal. The firm employs around 400 professionals and offers a hybrid and flexible work environment.
Main responsibilities:
-Study tax laws, standards, and regulations relevant to the field and complete required training to maintain and enhance expertise
-Review and prepare tax returns; identify potential tax planning opportunities
-Prepare notices of objection and lead discussions with tax authorities
-Communicate with clients on various Canadian tax matters
-Advise clients on the tax implications of operations and transactions, and recommend appropriate measures
-Review corporate tax returns for small and medium-sized businesses and analyze their impact on financial statements
-Master's degree or DESS in Taxation
-CPA designation and/or relevant experience in an accounting firm
-2-3 years of experience in a public accounting firm or in taxation
-Strong knowledge of accounting and tax software (Caseware, Taxprep)
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
-Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
-Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate with a primarily English-speaking clientele
