We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and expertise in IFRS and US GAAP to join the US department of our client. This is a fully remote position within an international group operating in the professional services sector. You will act as the right hand to the Chief Accountant, playing a key role in financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Investigate and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
Support process improvements and ensure accuracy of financial data across systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
Manage and problem-solve transactional accounting activities as needed (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, etc.).
Work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
Proven experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
Proficiency with Sage Intacct is required.
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams across departments.
Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on approach.
