I'm looking for a Payroll Specialist :
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing, verification, and recording of time and payroll data for a large workforce in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data in the time management system and its proper integration into the payroll system.
- Compile, balance, and validate additional payroll items, time corrections, and rate adjustments from multiple units, while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Analyze payroll reports to confirm consistency between time data, information provided by various teams, and payroll results, and correct any discrepancies identified.
- Apply internal policies, collective agreements, and legal and regulatory requirements that impact payroll processes.
- Maintain effective and professional service relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of payroll data to respond to requests from human resources, finance, and management teams, including first-level support for time management systems, error resolution, and functional testing.
- Ensure assignments are updated in time management systems and track leave banks for new hires, internal transfers, and authorized absences.
- Provide support during internal and external audits related to compensation elements.
- Participate in payroll-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and perform other related tasks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and great attention to detail.
- Strong math skills, proficiency in Excel, and ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and adapt to unforeseen situations.
- Knowledge of payroll and time management systems within large organizations.
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some post-secondary education in finance, human resources, analytics, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll and/or human resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
