My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a Payroll/Accounting Technician for my client in the public sector. This is a permanent position in Delson. It's a 35h position over 4 and a half days.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage complete weekly payroll processing, including validation of time sheets and compliance with collective agreements and applicable laws.
- Produce Records of Employment, tax slips (T4, Relevé 1, etc.) and government reports on time.
- Calculate salaries, retroactives, progressions, adjustments and various indemnities (CNESST, disability, maternity, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date employee files and follow up on accounts payable and receivable, as well as invoicing for taxes and services.
- Supervise department procedures, coordinate priorities, and participate in optimizing work methods.
- Carry out analyses and tax simulations, and support the manager in the smooth running of the department.
Skills and qualifications:
- College diploma (DEC) or attestation (AEC) in administrative techniques with accounting option or equivalent.
- At least one year's relevant experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while respecting deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of interlocutors in French and English. (bilingual)
- Organizational skills, rigor, method and good data analysis skills.
