Hello, my name is Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll professions. I handle two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent positions in the Greater Montreal area.

Help the C.F.O manage all activities related to the accounting cycle. Ensure the compliance with internal control standards, accounting rules as well as the various corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

- Oversee day to day operations of the accounting department
- Handle all responsibilities related to accounts payable
- Analyze projects and job cost
- Month end journal entries & account analysis
- Prepare month end & year-end financial statements
- Manage cash flow & perform bank reconciliations
- Ensure GST/PST compliance
- Prepare & submit GST/QST on a monthly basis
- Assist with year-end audit
- Substantiate and justify expenditures and expense reports
- Assist C.F.O with various matters
- Monitor and recommend internal controls and suggest adopting proper policies for financial reporting
- Build-up, redesign and maintenance of key accounting schedules (fixed assets, intangibles, debt, etc)
- Analysis and creation of schedules for cost reallocations including the entry of the related adjusting journal entries
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
- Inter-company transactions
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements at each reporting period
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies
- Assist with accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

Requirements

- University degree with major in Accounting, CPA designation preferred
- Must have experience in manufacturing industry and 5-7 years of full cycle accounting or auditing experience
- Experience in multi-jurisdiction and multi-currency environment
- Excellent computer skills and Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Bilingual
- Accuracy in daily work and other projects
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
- Interpersonal skills,
- Good communicator
- Strong organizational skills
- Quick Learner
