I am Bianka, Team Leader in Recruitment and Business Development at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for Finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.

I am looking for a credit and recovery specialist for my client, a large logistics group. This is a permanent hybrid position.

Responsibilities:
What your days are like as a Credit and Collections Specialist

* Perform collections for a portfolio of approximately 350-375 customer accounts in Canada and the United States;
* Negotiate payment agreements with overdue accounts, including documentation and follow-ups;
* Take note of all customer accounts with disputed invoices and communicate them within the operations team to coordinate a rapid resolution;
* Build and maintain healthy relationships with our customers and operations teams;
* Be the key resource in the creation of monthly customer accounts reports and participate in meetings with the various business units concerned to discuss problem accounts and collection strategies;
* Work closely with the collections team as needed;
* Open and analyze credit files for new clients, as well as periodically review those of existing clients;

To succeed as a Credit and Collections Specialist, you must have:
* College diploma (DEC), equivalent, or relevant experience;
* Minimum of five to seven (5 - 7) years of experience in a similar role;
* Bilingualism, both oral and written (French and English);
* The ability to work towards monthly goals, recognizing priorities and managing time effectively
* You are professional and diplomatic
* Good knowledge of the MS Office suite, notably Excel, Outlook and Word
* Knowledge of Lawson Financials or Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems would be an asset
* Experience in a Shared Services Center (asset).
