I'm looking for a credit and collection analyst:

The individual in this role is responsible for managing accounts receivable to ensure high-quality service to clients and partners while contributing to the organization’s financial performance. They oversee collection activities, ensure accurate payment application, reconcile customer accounts, and manage credit risk. They also provide financial and operational information to internal teams and contribute to continuous process improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and optimizing cash flow.
- Analyze and develop tools related to financial transactions to support decision-making (payment terms, discounts, performance indicators, etc.).
- Recommend and enhance processes and controls to mitigate risks in accordance with accounting standards, and collaborate with IT teams on related projects.
- Implement effective collection strategies.
- Monitor overdue accounts and take appropriate actions (follow-ups, payment arrangements, etc.).
- Assess and adjust customer credit limits in line with internal policies and ensure compliance.
- Partner with sales teams to manage high-risk customer accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and apply incoming payments.
- Proactively identify discrepancies, communicate with customers, and reconcile accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable insurance documentation and processes.
- Prepare regular reports and performance metrics related to accounts receivable.

Your profile

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or accounts receivable, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated with initiative and a sense of ownership.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data and systems management.
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Knowledge of data tools (e.g., SQL) and ERP systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in both English and French, written and spoken.
