I'm looking for a Chief Accountant for my client in the east end of Montreal. This is a permanent contract, 100% face-to-face in the office (flexible schedule).
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure the application of processes relating to all of the company's accounting operations.
- Ensure the reliability of the accounts and compliance with legal and tax obligations.
- Manage the on-site team and supervise work while ensuring smooth operations.
- Supervise and manage the accounting department team.
- Supervise accounting and month-end operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Update and apply internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Play a leading role in establishing controls under his/her supervision and collaborate with finance management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Three to five (3 to 5) years' relevant experience in accounting and one (1) year's experience in personnel management.
- Knowledge of office software.
- Leadership, sense of responsibility, ability to organize and prioritize, autonomy, discretion, good communication skills, analytical mind, ability to make decisions, attention to detail and good stress management.
