Hello, I'm Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle both temporary and permanent recruitment in the Greater Montreal area.

Mission

The position holder participates in the full accounting cycle, including project-based accounting, and is responsible for month‑end activities as well as the preparation of financial statements. They also act as a business partner to the various vice‑presidencies by providing financial analyses and tailored support aligned with business needs.

The responsibilities extend across all regional offices.

Responsibilities

- Record accounting entries, perform month‑end adjustments, and ensure the reliability of financial transactions
- Actively participate in the monthly closing process, including reconciliations, account analyses, and validation of data completeness
- Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports to support decision‑making
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and updating of financial data, including databases and accounting systems
- Monitor intercompany transactions and maintain up‑to‑date supporting documentation
- Contribute to project accounting, including project tracking, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis
- Update and monitor various financial indicators and reports related to projects, resources, and expenses
- Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses and support the different vice‑presidencies in their business needs
- Oversee certain financial operations, including invoicing, payments, expense reports, and ticketing
- Participate in resolving operational issues and propose improvements to financial processes
- Contribute to the standardization and optimization of processes across regional offices
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
- Participate in the evolution of accounting tools, systems, and practices, including the deployment of new functionalities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, deadlines, and sound financial practices

Your profile

Qualifications

- CPA designation with a PCO profile
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working in a project‑based management environment
- Strong knowledge of Great Plains
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Advanced Excel skills
- This position operates in a predominantly French‑speaking environment. However, functional proficiency in English is required to effectively understand specialized instructions, plans, technical diagrams, and documents written in English, particularly those originating from another province.
- Ability to be physically present at the office located at 1000 de la Gauchetière at least one (1) day per week
