I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent, on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates within your industry. We cover accounting, finance, and payroll positions.

I am looking for an Assistant Controller for my client, a non-profit organization. This is a permanent, hybrid position (35 hours per week) in Saint-Rémi or Saint-Hyacinthe with excellent benefits.

Ensure complete accounting maintenance: bookkeeping and payroll entries, account analysis, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable monitoring.

Prepare and analyze budgets, monitor financial performance, plan cash flow, and evaluate the profitability of activities and investment projects.

Produce financial and regulatory reports: audit files, annual and quarterly reports, financial statement sections, and grant and project-related accountability reports.

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensure communication with government authorities, prepare required documentation, and conduct post-audit follow-ups.

Manage the financial monitoring of projects and funding, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and participate in the annual closing.

Maintain, improve, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and regulations.

Advise employees and managers on the application of laws, regulations, and contracts, particularly regarding pension plans.

Provide coverage as needed for payroll verification and transmission and perform any other related tasks.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration;

- Five (5) years of experience;

- CPA designation (an asset);

- Excellent knowledge of accounting software;

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;

- Excellent written and spoken French;

- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize them in a fast-paced environment;

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

- Autonomy, versatility, rigor, and attention to detail;

- Team spirit and strong communication skills.
