I am looking for an accounting and payroll technician for a company in Laval.
Your tasks will include:
-Preparing all payroll (hourly and unionized employees), including hours, benefits, deductions, and compliance with provincial and federal laws.
Produce employment records, T4s, RL1s, and government documents, and liaise with authorities.
-Manage customer billing, collections, deposits, credits, and follow-up on collections.
-Performing bank and accounts receivable reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and supporting monthly closings.
-Keeping accounting files and financial records up to date.
-All other related tasks.
Your profile:
-College diploma (DEC) in accounting or a related field
-Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
-Excellent command of the entire payroll cycle, including unionized payrolls
-Good knowledge of accounting and payroll systems (Dayforce)
-Knowledge of AS400 (an asset)
