How you’ll make an impact
Collaborative, risk-focused Senior Technology Auditor needed to lead, plan and execute risk-based audits focusing on information technology systems, cyber security and information management. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in strengthening FCC’s ability to manage technology risks by defining audit scope focused on high-risk areas, determining the key controls required to mitigate those risks, and assessing its design and operating effectiveness.
Using an agile auditing methodology, you’ll translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision making by leadership. You’ll also validate the implementation of outstanding audit recommendations and collaborate closely with IT and Internal Audit colleagues to strengthen control practices and support the organization’s strategic objectives.
What you’ll do:
Plan and conduct audit engagements focused on information technology risks
Document appropriate audit evidence, findings and conclusions
Prepare draft audit reports to include recommendations targeted at the root cause of the deficiency
Conduct follow up testing to validate that management action plans are implemented and effective
Recommend improvements to processes and procedures to enhance audit quality
Adhere to professional standards and best practices
Provide coaching and mentorship to senior auditors
Required Qualifications:
A degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as computer science, information systems, accounting/commerce
5+ years of IT/technology audit experience
A Certified Internal Systems Auditor (CISA) or other applicable designation (e.g. CIA, CPA) is strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of internal auditing practices and application of internal auditing standards
Demonstrated capability across end-to-end audit delivery, including risk-based planning, field work/testing, clear reporting and effective stakeholder engagement
