Experienced product owner needed
Join a non-development-based Agile environment where you’ll be responsible for prioritizing and executing the product backlog.
You’ll manage and prioritize policy development for topics such as information management, cybersecurity, privacy, artificial intelligence and data management, as well as oversee IT control testing and monitoring accountabilities.
You’ll proactively engage with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders, addressing their varying needs. Plus, you’ll create stories to drive product value, ensuring that issues are thoroughly debated, aligned upon, and that initiatives are successfully delivered.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Director to prioritize and assign tasks for (1) developing and maintaining policies, standards, procedures and user guides, and (2) executing IT control testing and monitoring activities
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives with partners and stakeholders across the organization, negotiating the priority and timing of work efforts
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog using Jira and other tools to ensure goals and objectives are achieved
  • Facilitate sprint reviews of work in progress to solicit feedback from stakeholders and user groups early and often
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and team management to maintain and enhance the Agile practices of the team
  • Join the Product leadership team in overseeing the overall management of the team and adjusting to create a high-performance work environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Skilled collaborator able to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to coordinate initiatives with partners and stakeholders across the organization, negotiating priorities and timelines
  • Organized multi-tasker skilled at managing and prioritizing the product backlog to achieve goals and objectives
  • Ability to facilitate sprint reviews and solicit feedback from stakeholders and user groups

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or computer science and at least eight years of financial institution or agricultural experience including at least four years of project management or lead analyst experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Ability to work closely with the Product Director, Scrum Master and team management to prioritize tasks and maintain Agile practices
  • Experience in developing and maintaining policies, standards, procedures, and user guides, as well as executing IT control testing and monitoring activities would be an asset
  • Product owner certification is preferred.
