Description
We are actively seeking a tempering furnace operator for our client, a company specialising in the manufacture of glass products for doors and windows, neighbourhood glazing and replacements.

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, you will be required to perform the following tasks:
*** Your key responsibilities:
- Load and unload glass into the tempering furnace in accordance with safety standards.
- Adjust and monitor furnace settings to ensure heat treatment complies with quality standards.
- Inspect glass before and after tempering to detect any imperfections or defects.
- Maintain proper furnace operation and perform first-level maintenance in accordance with procedures established in collaboration with maintenance managers.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production orders.
- Comply with safety rules and internal procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
*** Required profile:
- Basic to advanced experience with tempered glass in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of the glass industry (an asset)
- Knowledge of glass types
- Independence, initiative, organisational skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team
- Good physical condition
- Ability to learn
- Entrepreneurial spirit: proactivity, autonomy and willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’
- Leadership spirit
