Description
Logistics Manager
Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion
Job Summary
Eutectic Canada is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate customer service, daily logistics, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and transportation activities. This mid-level management role is responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, timely deliveries, and continuous improvement of logistics operations while supporting company objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Design overall distribution, warehousing, and transportation strategies to lower costs and boost efficiency.
- Vendor Negotiation: Contracts freight carriers, suppliers, and 3PL (third-party logistics) partners.
- Supply Chain Oversight: Manages the lifecycle of goods from purchasing to final delivery.
- Data Analysis: Reviews metrics, key performance indicators and evaluates carrier performance.
- Customer Service: Manages customer service department.
- Performance Management: Supervise warehouse, logistics and customer service personnel, including scheduling and performance reviews.
- Health & Safety: Maintain compliance with health & safety standards, company policies, and transportation regulations
- Cost reduction: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of transportation, shipping, and inventory control practices
- Forklift certification or experience is considered an asset
- Bilingual (English & French)
