About the Role
We are beginning a new Multi Residential and City Facilities collection contract in Ottawa launching June 2026. We are seeking skilled drivers to operate Front End Garbage Trucks, providing reliable service to commercial customers and multi-family complexes. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety, and professionalism while interacting with customers. Successful hires will start in May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Front End Garbage Truck on assigned routes.
- Collect and empty large commercial bins and multi-family containers according to service schedules.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Monitor bin conditions and report issues such as damage, blocked access, or contamination.
- Ensure compliance with municipal and company waste collection standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and service records.
- Represent the company in a professional manner when on-site with customers.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving in the waste industry (preferably Front-End Driving experience)
- Ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces safely.
- Strong safety awareness and reliability.
- Good communication skills and customer service mindset
