As a vital member of the Engineering team, Advisor, Regulatory & Compliance will provide essential support and guidance for Enbridge’s North American onshore power assets, ensuring compliance with all applicable ISO requirements and NERC Reliability Standards.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and support teams across the company to achieve outcomes that meet both internal and external compliance obligations. Additionally, you will work alongside other Advisors within our team on continuous improvement initiatives sought at improving Enbridge’s Internal Compliance Program.

What you will do:

  • Provide effective support to the Power Compliance Team, Engineering, and Plant Managers on a range of compliance activities.

Areas of focus include but are not limited to:

1. Facility Maintenance and Testing

2. Data Communications, Monitoring, and Storage

3. Critical Infrastructure

4. Emergency Preparedness & Operations

5. Data Modeling, and Analysis

  • Lead various periodic data submissions, reporting, internal reviews.

  • Efficiently support aspects of self-reports, mitigation plans, self-certifications, and audits.

  • Advise, guide, and provide training to stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Internal Compliance Program.

  • Collaborate on various reliability compliance procedures, processes, projects, and initiatives aimed at program enhancement.

Who you are:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on law, data management, or communications.

  • 4- 5 years of proven experience in grid reliability compliance. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • You are proficient with various business tools such as Microsoft: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with the following would be considered a strong asset:

    • Business tools such as BI Reporting, FieldPro, Maximo, AI Hub, and any compliance management software

    • Related regulatory bodies such as NERC/CDN Regional Entities, and ISOs/RTOs such as AESO, IESO, ERCOT, SPP, and PJM

    • Related online portals such as NERC ERO, NERC Alert System, NERC GADS OATI, NERC SEL, AESO Compliance Portal, IESO Online, ERCOT MIS, ERCOT RIOO-RS, PUCTX Portal, PUCT Interchange Filer, and PJM Planning Center

Occasional travel required to attend industry events and working groups (about 5-10%).
