Did you know that when natural gas is supercooled at -260°F or -162°C, it turns into a liquid state known as liquefied natural gas (LNG)? As a clear colourless, odourless, non-toxic liquid, the volume of LNG is about 600 times smaller than its gaseous state! The liquefaction process allows natural gas to be used as a transportation fuel and ships by sea all over the world via specialized LNG vessels.
