What you will do:
Sponsors and oversees projects required for the Facilities Integrity Storage Programs. This position will be primarily focused on FI Storage projects (Aboveground Storage Tanks, Small Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Underground Storage Caverns).
Support the FI Execution team to develop project business cases to ensure assets are fit for service, compliant with regulatory requirements, and risks are managed to acceptable business targets.
Sponsor the development and execution of Facilities Integrity Storage threat remediation projects to manage the leak risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and positively influence department performance metrics.
Work with key stakeholders including Facilities Integrity and Pipeline Integrity Subject Matter Experts, Asset Class Managers, Project Teams, Reliability, Liquids Pipelines Risk and Compliance, Asset Performance to develop and submit high quality business cases for capital projects.
Actively sponsor projects from scope initiation, development, execution, through to final in-service. This includes regularly monitoring project performance, timely resolution of issues including escalation as appropriate, timely assessment and processing of key decisions and change management activities.
Develop and manage project initiatives focused on driving development and execution performance, strategy, continuous improvement, and efficiencies.
Support the development of both the annual capital budget and Long-Range Plan (LRP) for applicable sponsored projects.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and registered or eligible to register as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA.
2-4 years of experience in technical and project management experience in a pipeline or related industry.
Project management capabilities to optimally prioritize different projects to meet deliverables and deadline requirements while managing partner expectations.
Effective interpersonal skills which include influencing without authority, relationship building and communication skills.
Valid passport to work and travel in the US.
Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Working Conditions:
Office based.
Up to 10% travel to field sites, conferences and regional offices across Canada and the US.
