We are looking for an Advisor TIS MRM Systems to join our Enterprise Marketing and Risk Management (MRM) team in Calgary AB.

As a member of Enterprise Marketing and Risk Management (MRM) team, this position is technology focused and provides oversight of ERTM application suite, providing infrastructure direction and design of all integrated and associated processes, infrastructure, and systems. Applications include: Openlink Endur/Findur, Egistix Oil, Entero, and Kyriba.

What you will do:
  • Participate in delivery of the department’s direction and vision by providing input into the development and implementation of vision, goals, and objectives.

  • Lead the investigation and assessment of new tools and technology for overall fit within the current and emerging technical landscape by enabling the delivery of the technical roadmap. This includes vendor and RFP assessments, analyzing the technical implications of potential infrastructure (hardware and software) changes and testing new technology to resolve questions about alternatives.

  • Resolve production problems either independently or by coordinating resolution with software vendors, clients and/or appropriate in-house experts for solution improvements looking for both technical and business optimizations.

  • Contribute to various special initiatives and project activities (e.g., SWAT teams) upon request, providing technical guidance and advice and/or delivery of robust and timely solutions.

  • Work with Project Managers/Systems Analysts to develop, high level solution designs.

  • Work as expert technical advisor to help quality opportunities, assess feasible technology solutions options. As well as estimate costs for hardware, software, and scope of technical team efforts.

  • Approver of major solution designs to ensure, the designs fit with overall technical solution strategy and to ensure initiatives and projects (upgrades, enhancements) are successful.

  • Participate in the development and improvement of key processes by collaborating with department’s Manager and Application Architect.

  • Collaborate with team members to support & execute strategic vision.

  • Recommend changes to existing strategies based on technical needs and requirements.

  • Support the ongoing analysis to modernize and simplify the ETRM applications and technology portfolio.

Who you are:
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent).

  • 4+ years of application experience in a client/server and/or web-based environment, IT processes, business management, and/or project management.

  • You have broad range of experience in IT project planning, process analysis, systems analysis, technical analysis, systems implementation, and operations.

  • Direct experience working providing strategic direction for applications.

  • You have strong knowledge of UNIX, Windows, and Oracle database technology and strong knowledge of networking and security concepts.

  • You have ZEMA experience (pricing aggregator)

  • You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products and working knowledge of various ITIL and system management processes and procedures.

  • Experience in supporting an enterprise level system (e.g., common system used by more than a single client group).

  • Possess a broad understanding of existing and emerging technologies and their relevance to helping meet client’s requests for service.

  • Demonstrated experience working with technical IT resources in designing, developing, testing, and implementing related solution.

Preferred:
  • Experience providing application support for one or more of the following systems: Openlink Endur/Findur, Egistix Oil, Entero, and Kyriba.
