Nature of the work
The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in organizing, coordinating and monitoring the work performed by his or her team composed mainly of class I storekeepers.
In addition, he or she may be required to perform the duties of a class I storekeeper.
Description of tasks
- Coordinate, distribute, and verify the work, give advice on the quality and ensures that deadlines are met
- Provide employee orientation
- Work with superior(s) to prepare budget estimates for the stores for which he or she is responsible
- Organize and keep a complete inventory
- Participate in preparing current operating practices and procedures
- Report any irregularity observes to the superior(s)
- Make suggestions and recommendations designed to improve the operations for which he or she is responsible
- Implement and maintain a vehicle maintenance and inventory system.
- Coordinate the regular maintenance schedule of the school bus fleet, including the buses at the secondary garage (PEP Program).
- Coordinate repairs of the bus fleet with outside garages and suppliers (warranties).
- Coordinate the purchase and coding of invoices for payments.
- Perform any other related duty
Desired profile
Schooling
Meet one of the following profiles:
- Hold a Diploma of Vocation Studies in an appropriate specialty for the class of employment
- Hold a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority
Experience
Have six (6) years of pertinent experience.
