Are YOU our next Billing Coordinator?
Reporting to the Manager of Billing, as the Billing Coordinator you will be assisting with operational functions of the department and responsible for cash management of the accounts receivables. You will be responsible for the processing of invoices and/or collection of accounts due. You will focus on monitoring accounts and report on delinquent and potential loss situations. You will ensure all government legislation and requirements are continually met. This is a full-time, hybrid, permanent position, working Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

How YOU will make a difference:
  • Ensure requisition compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH) mandatory regulations
  • Ensure that the information provided from the patients and physicians is recorded and updated daily
  • Generate reports of remaining incomplete billing and follow-up with the corresponding physicians on missing information
  • Analyze cash receipts, audit reports and reports on any discrepancies
  • Review reports for inaccuracies, duplications, and those billed in error
  • Adjust claims and process remittance inquiries
  • Post payments manually for any mismatched MOH payments
  • Ensure that all outstanding unpaid claims are reviewed, investigated and re-billed
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Analyze, reconcile, and post A/R
  • Other duties as require for this position
What YOU bring to the role:
  • 2+ years of billing experience
  • University or College degree in business and finance preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to articulate in a clear and effective manner
  • Strong Microsoft Word and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency to develop and prepare reports and project analysis
