The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Technician, Accounts Payable. This job is full-time permanent.
Overview: Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Technician plays a key role in supporting financial operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, in compliance with internal policies and deadlines, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
Your Challenges:
- Analyze and validate account statements;
- Review and resolve issues related to problematic invoices;
- Participate in the month-end closing process;
- Process and record invoices in various systems, primarily SAP and Guide TI;
- Maintain constant communication with sites and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing;
- Monitor supplier account balances, including tracking of debit balances and accruals;
- Respond promptly to emails and phone inquiries;
- Verify that invoice amounts align with contract terms, and resolve discrepancies as needed;
- Collaborate with the MDM and logistics teams to ensure correct rates are maintained in the system and minimize the need for adjustments.
Your Skills:
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with scanned documentation;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams;
- Client-focused approach, with a strong commitment to meeting internal and external needs;
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail;
- Team player with strong communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
Your Profile:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages (English and French);
- Completed DEP, AEC, DEC, or BAC in administration or accounting (an asset);
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a large organization.
