What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager you will have full life-cycle responsible to lead and manage client engagements driven by data and analytics. You will experience the growth of a practice totally dedicated to the art and science of using data to help clients drive business decisions related to value creation (both organic and inorganic). You will continue your professional development to expand your career path, working with high profile clients and Deloitte Partners who need a leader to support their top priority initiatives and strategies.

A candidate can expect to do some or all of the following:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the client’s business issue and develop a detailed approach and project plan to show how our work will address the client’s concerns
  • Coordinate with client business and IT personnel to identify, collect and validate data
  • Lead a team in reviewing, cleansing, and transforming, and validating the data to develop an Analytical Data Set that can be used for analysis
  • Analyze financial & key performance indicators for trends, outliers, drivers, etc. related to the business problem in scope
  • Design and develop visualizations and dashboards that deliver crucial financial and operational buy and sell-side insights
  • Directly present to and advise clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrable evidence of effective team leadership, client relationship development, project management and engagement management, preferably in a client service setting

Team members collaborate with other Deloitte leaders and workstreams to produce analysis within a fast-paced high-quality environment. This is not a “back-office” position; this is front-line client interaction with significant opportunity for growth.

About the team

Deloitte’s Analytic Insights team transforms data into actionable insights to support strategic decisions that amplify stakeholder value. The team relies on expertise in business understanding, data engineering, data science, and data visualization to drive value for clients. Our team is comprised of a mix of deep technical expertise in the statistical and analytics fields and business professionals with the experience to leverage insights to drive business decisions.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • 5 + years of work experience in an analytical occupation (Business Analyst, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc.) developing ETL, statistical models, data analysis, and insights presentations;
  • 1+ year of experience in leading and delivering analytics projects from collecting stakeholder business requirements, formulating analytics approaches to leading technical development lifecycle (e.g. data transformation, statistical model building, and visualization dashboard creation)
  • Demonstrated experience in using and/or managing a team that uses data mining, data science, and data visualization tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated experience managing analytics implementation engagements end-to-end including planning & budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solution from top management to all levels; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics, issues and risks
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating the results of your analysis to business executives;
  • Attention to details, flexible and curious - focused on solving business problems and delivering data-driven analytical solutions that have business impact;

The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $169,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
