3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as platform ambassador to internal/external customers (business units, client stakeholders, product teams).
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders (CIOs, Data Officers, Enterprise Architects) to translate evolving data needs into platform capabilities.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure delivery of business outcomes and ROI.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor aligning platform capabilities with strategic priorities.

4. Leadership Communication & Executive Updates

  • Provide structured updates to executive leadership on roadmap, adoption, risks, and outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical initiatives into clear business narratives.
  • Present platform performance, KPIs, and recommendations to governance forums.

  • Enable federated data product ownership with centralized platform standards.
  • Enhance developer/user experience through automation, tooling, and platform services.
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, security, and compliance frameworks.

6. Team Development

  • Foster innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence; mentor leaders and build succession pipelines.

7. Partnership with Director of Technical Delivery

  • Ensure alignment between platform strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with Technical Director to build a high-performing engineering team.
  • Provide strategy, priorities, and design guardrails; Technical Delivery Director owns execution, timelines, and quality.
  • Jointly govern delivery progress, dependencies, and value realization.

8. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with internal compliance teams to reduce time to value for data products.
  • Evolve data governance practices within GDP service.
  • Stay current on cloud data platforms, AI/ML, streaming, and DataOps.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DataOps).
  • Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
